How does their concept work?
NCT stands for Neo Culture Technology, a term made to describe the groups concept of having unlimited members. It might help to think of NCT not as a group, but more of a brand. Their "objective" to put it in short is to expand k-pop and korean culture wolrdwide. So neo is the "evololution" of korean culture (hallyu). Their base will be in Seoul, South Korea, but they will have different branches in other cities, growing and expanding their brand. More members will be added as time goes on, and different groups will be formed. NCT U is meant to unite the members and units.
Who are Shotaro and Sungchan?
They are the two newest members of NCT, they were added on the 20th of November with the announcement of NCT 2020. There isn't much information on them yet, so that's why they have a separate section on the carrd (or at least until they get added into a permanent unit).
Do all the members promote together?
Once a year, they all come together to promote together as one group. We saw this with NCT 2018, NCT 2019 didn't happen (pressumibly because of the hallyu ban), and NCT 2020 is happening right now! They are currently preparing for Resonance part, and presumably NCT 2021 will take place next year.
Are the sub-units separate groups?
They are all part of the NCT brand, but they are promoted and treated as separate groups.
Who is the leader?
There are 2 leaders! Kun is the leader for WayV, and Taeyong is the leader of NCT 127. DREAM doesn't have an official leader, however Mark is the oldest and is seen as the more "responsible" one, and the members reffer to his as their leader.
